Reasons for leaving ISPS

There are cases when it is better for the child, and for the school as a whole, if a student who fails to adjust to the norms of the school is removed before the end of the school year. The school operates a ‘3 strikes’ system – if a child receives three official warnings in a term, the parents will be asked to collect their child from the school. Parents are always informed if their child receives an official warning.

Examples of the kind of situation that the school cannot resolve internally include:

>> Cases where children refuse to allow the school staff to look after them, and put their own safety and welfare at risk. In such cases the school is unable to meet its duty of care towards the children, and it is better that they return home.
>> Persistent anti-social behaviour, such as stealing, bullying, damaging school property etc.
>> Children who demonstrate that they are not interested in staying here by behaving so badly as to receive 3 official warnings.
>> Any single act of behaviour that is sufficiently extreme or unbalanced to warrant immediate expulsion.

Shri Mataji has clearly stated that ISPS should be a school for ‘normal children’.

ISPS is not a Sahaja Hospital or treatment centre. On admission, children should be established Sahaja Yogis in their own right. Please do not send children here because they are having problems and you are expecting the school to sort them out.

Students joining the school in the senior section, particularly, must arrive ready to participate in full in the school program, and to make the extra effort required to fit into the family.
