JUNIORS

 

Monday – Friday

6.30 Wake-up

Dorm-in-charge sometimes plays music, Sahaj songs etc

7.00 Breakfast

usually porridge, eggs, toast, butter, jam/ honey, hot milk. Sometimes cornflakes, Chocos, vegetables + chapatti, Pancakes.

8.00 Meditation

with some mantras, songs and music

8.45 Assembly

Bhajans, Devi Stuti and Vande Mataram/ National Anthem.

Announcements are made.

9.00 Lesson 1

The Juniors have Maths, Science and English every day and Sports, Music, Social Studies, Hindi, Computer and Sahaja Yoga 3 days a week.

9.35 Lesson 2

10.10 Lesson 3

10.45 Break

Everyone gets a snack – bun, fruit etc. and a drink

11.05 Lesson 4

11.40 Lesson 5

12.15 Lesson 6

12.50 Lesson 7

1.25 Lunchtime

Juniors have their meals served at the table.

Siesta time

3.00 Activities

The children have a different activity every day, from Art, Music, Sports, Woodwork, Library.

4.00 Break

Snack and a drink – fruit drink, lassi etc.

5.30 Footsoak

In the dorms. Time for clearing out, sometimes shoe-beating instead.

Dinner

8.30

Get ready for bed, quiet time.

9.00

Lights out.

Saturday

The same as Mon – Fri except:-

No afternoon activities.

Video after dinner, and so later to bed.

Sunday

8.00 Wake up

As you can imagine most of the juniors are out playing games by this time!

8.15 Breakfast

On Sundays we have pancakes with honey/jam, sugar and lemons in addition to the usual fare.

10.00 Puja

Organised by the duty house (Sat, Chit or Anand). This usually last until around 11.30 or longer when it is the day of an International Puja..

12.30 Lunch

After lunch the children can go out to the bus-stop with an auntie/uncle, or spend their pocket money at the Tuck Shop.

4.00 onwards

Break, Meditation, Dinner and Bed at the usual time.


SENIORS

With some mantras, songs and music. Morning meditation is run by staff members on a Rota.

8.00 Breakfast

Usually porridge, eggs, toast, butter, jam/ honey, hot milk. Sometimes cornflakes, Chocos, vegetables + chapatti, Pancakes.

8.45 Assembly

Bhajans, Devi Stuti and Vande Mataram/ National Anthem.

Announcements are made.

9.00 Lesson 1

The Seniors have Maths and English every day, and Biology, Chemistry, Physics, History and Civics, Geography, Sports, music, Hindi, Sahaja Yoga, Computer, Environmental Studies and Sahaja Yoga three days a week.

9.35 Lesson 2

10.10 Lesson 3

10.45 Break

Everyone gets a snack – bun, fruit etc. and a drink

11.05 Lesson 4

11.40 Lesson 5

12.15 Lesson 6

Lunchtime – Seniors help themselves to food from a heated buffet.

3.00 Activities

The children have a different activity every day, from Art, Music, Sports, Woodwork, Library and Internet

4.00 Break

Snack and a drink – fruit drink, lassi etc.

5.15 Homework time

The children do homework in the dorms or classrooms. The more diligent continue after dinner.

6.30 Footsoak

In the dorms. Time for clearing out, sometimes shoe-beating instead.
